Now that Disney has come and gone it is time to plan the rest of the summer. Being in Texas it is hot and activities outside are limited to only certain times of the day. I got really excited therefore when I read this article on Do512 about Children’s Museums in the area. My birthday is Thursday so we are going to venture to Waco explore the Magnolia market and then try out the Mayborn Museum Complex setup by Baylor University. According to the article not only does this museum have quite a bit of natural science but the Museum website is featuring a speed exhibit with Formula 1 cars which will for sure be a hit for the cars enthused toddler!! Tickets are a reasonable $8 for adults and $6 dollars for children 2 and up.

The Mayborn Museum Complex features a natural science and cultural history museum with really cool walk-in dioramas including one on the Waco Mammoth Site, and exploration stations for geology, paleontology, archaeology, and natural history. Your kids will be in awe of the fossils, historic Texas homes such as a grass house, and more.
