As moms, we see the life cycle of toys go by all too quickly. Toycycle gives life to toys that are in much need of new hands to play with them. It is the beauty of Toy Story and the new friends Woody found in the later movies!

In This Post

As moms, we see the life cycle of toys go by all too quickly. The excitement of the new toy, playing intensely for a week or so, then put away and nearly forgotten. The toy comes out maybe several more times even but after a few years the draw is gone. New toys are purchased, more holidays and birthdays pass, soon the toys are forgotten in toy boxes and no longer played with. I often imagine one of our favorite movies Toy Story and what the toys would feel like if they came alive. The ones that “live” in my son’s bed, the ones that can’t be left at home when we venture out. Just as in Toy Story and Woody, eventually the boys grow up and new toys come into the place of royalty. Soon we have many toys put away that are forgotten and not played with. Perhaps neighbors, friends, or family inherit toys but all too often they are thrown away still in great condition. Enter Toycycle!

Toycycle is committed to recycling toys and giving them new life with new hands to love them. “The most eco-friendly toy is the one that is re-used. The same goes for baby gear of every kind. Toycycle Process

The process to purchased “new for you” toys is very much like the process of going to any online shop and purchasing. You pick your favorites, checkout and in the next few days your package has arrived. The Toycycle shipping was very fast and everything was packed with lots of care. I was really impressed. The toys were stacked in layers so you could unwrap each layer one by one. The boys knew no different that the toys were used. To my boys they were new toys. The unboxing video shoes it all, how magical an experience it was!

How does Toycycle Price Things

Toycycle is full service which means that they price everything for you and take care of all the photos, pricing, and selling. They use a set formulate where they first check the retail price for the item or comparable item, then they browse for the items or similar items on other marketplaces and kids’ consignment stores. Typically, this amounts to about 45% off retail if the item is in excellent condition. Following that model, new items in original packaging sells for about 60-70% retail, things with minor flaws but in good condition are priced around 20-35%. If items are not in sellable condition then they can be donated to charity or returned to the consignor.

The headaches of figuring out pricing and managing buyers on marketplaces can be huge for a busy mom. Consigning with Toycycle removes that hassle and is time saved.
